Before our worship service begins, we have Sunday school sessions starting at 9:00am for all age groups, including adults. Please come as you are, and help yourself to free coffee before service begins. The worship center doors will open at 9:45 following the conclussion of the adult class. Grab your bulliten and communion emblems as you come into the worship center, say hello to some Shelby Christian Church friends, and make your way to a seat. Our service will begin at 10:00am, hope to see you there!
We will start our sevice off with a time of annoucements and worship. We have a wonderful and talented team that leads us each week. Following worship, one of our leaders will give a short word before we join together and take communion. Following communion, we dismiss for Children and Junior Church (ages K-6th Grade) and we also have a nursery avilable for the duration of service. Note: there is no Children/Junior Church on the last Sunday of each month. For the sermon, we dive into the word of God together where Minister BJ Patton will teach from the Bible and share the words God has placed on his heart. Our goal is to teach the Bible as clear and as concise as possible so that we develop and grow in our faith. We conclude our services with an invitation followed by a celebration of birthdays or anniversaries. Then BJ will lead us in a closing prayer.
Service typically lasts approximatly an hour and fifteen minutes. If your child is in Childrens/Junior Church they will be dismissed from their classes into the worship center right before service ends. Please feel free to stick around, greet your neighbor and mingle after service is dismissed.
